Concerned over missing members
« on: July 29, 2008, 08:36:21 AM »

Over the last few days I have noticed that some of the regular posters here at Adventtalk have stopped posting.  I'm just wondering if there might be some significance to this.

Gailon Arthur Joy, a prolific poster, hasn't posted since July 17, when he submitted a rather troubling missive about betrayel, lack of loyalty and LAODICEA.  Perhaps he is busy working the details of this defamation per se law suit, but it is strange that he is so silent.

Fran, also a regularly prolific poster hasn't been heard from since July 21.  Anybody have any clue why?  Might it have something to do with the IRS exonerating Danny Shelton and 3abn?

Grandma Nettie,  a fairly outspoken member who does not seem to be of the same camp as the above members, is also MIA since July 20.  Has she been banned?  Is there a way to find out?  I have been interested in her take on some of the recent dialogue.

Pet

Anybody have any speculation or information about where these three members might be?  Should we be concerned?

Petunia, Grandma Nettie has been here unlike you 3ABN is not her only interest on AdventTalk. I sometimes go weeks without posting in this subforum, although I post in others. It is summer, people take vacations. It appears that a lot of surmising without facts on your part is going on.

Actually, yes, I do know the circumstances of at least one of the individuals you mentioned.  However, pardon my boldness, but it is really none of your business!!

Have you tried sending a PM to the indiiduals you seem so concerned about, rather than trying to induce people to "speculate" about their welfare?  Sorry, Petunia, but in my opinion, your "concern" is misplaced if not downright misleading.

Sorry, trying to get members to speculate is a bit funny comeing from some posters here. Perhaps some should be concerned when speculation now becomes a requested response

Are you for real Petunia? Concerned about some people who are not here at the moment? You've got to be joking Petunia.

You haven't shown concern previously about people, so why the (dubious) concern now? :dunno:

Why would you think that Grandma Nettie has been banned? Has she done something offensive?

Maybe, people just have a life outside Forums and families to attend to. Is that outside of the realms of your imagination?

Wow, petunia, I was just so pleased to know I was missed, and particularly by petunia, so I reset my password that I had "forgotten" and dashed right back.

As to the IRS? Well, they still have not called me yet, but then I never contributed any documents, just wrote the stories.

On the other hand, I have been polling contributors and none has yet advised me that they have been offered their documents back. SUch a shame too, because it would be great to see what they had all given in the first place. Add it to the evidence locker, you know.

I see I wasn't picked out among the mentioned missing, but, I thought I would still mention that I am not missing, I know right where I am and it's right here.
If I was missed, that sure is sweet of you!! If I wasn't, you won't have to get around to noticing as I am not missing since I'm here, and all is well. So, not worries!!

Since 3ABN and DS have been exonerated that leaves you two alternatives. Either the polled contributors have not been above board with you or the contributions may be held as evidence against those who falsely accused. The time and expense used in all those months of investigation is no little matter.

Believe what you like but I'm still waiting to see the evidence. Remember, we were all told that the IRS found zilch wrong with 3abn/DS affairs. We're still waiting for the exoneration letter that was being trumpeted by supporters.

I'm glad that you are aware of the huge waste of donor's monies. I've wondered how they could sleep at night, wasting so much of God's monies that should have been going into spreading the Gospel message.

Actually I was speaking in the context of what the taxpayers had to pay out.

You just said that 3ABN and Danny were exonerated by the IRS.

Chrissie said she was waiting for evidence to back up that statement.

Rather than post any evidence at all, you wrote the above about taxpayers.

Thus you make it quite clear to me that you made an assertion of fact that you don't have a clue how to support or back up. I would therefore suggest that in the future you write that 3ABN and Danny are allegedly exonerated rather than exonerated.

Bob, a letter from the attorney's handling the IRS case saying the investigation was over and also saying there were no fines or settlements of any kind is good enough for me and about 99% of the church as a whole.  Why do you insist on making yourself look desperate by this constant denial?

Then are you equally willing to say that Tommy Shelton is absolutely positively a pedophile simply because a pastor of a church Tommy pastored said Tommy molested six boys, Brad Dunning said Tommy propositioned him, Duane Clem says Tommy took advantage of him, Roger Clem says Tommy molested him, Sherry Avery says she caught Tommy in a house with a boy, and that Tommy lied about it to her, and Moms in pain #1 and #2 tell their stories?

Think about it: We have a single letter from an attorney who's been wrong before, and you want to accept it as a done deal and proven fact. We have letters from at least seven people. Should you not be seven times as ready to accept the allegations against Tommy Shelton as being proven fact?

If not, why not?

Remember, not even Attorney Riva in his letter to Dryden of June 2003 denied that the allegations against Tommy were true.
