GC President Ted Wilson Opposes Women's Ordination, Supports 3ABN

News item for tonight on 3ABN:

Elder Ted N. C. Wilson, president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, will be joined by the Hope Channel’s Brad Thorp in a program hosted by 3ABN president Jim Gilley and 3ABN founder Danny Shelton.

Elder Wilson will be speaking on "Unity in the Church".

Church unity is wonderful, but unfortunately Elder Ted Wilson, in appearing on this program, is giving his approval to the TV network's reprobate founder, Danny Shelton.

It has been suggested in a previous thread that Danny Shelton might find himself in prison for similar reasons as his brother, pedophile Tommy Shelton, who is currently serving time.

What is Elder Wilson thinking?

I do notice that the instructions for leaving comments at the bottom of the 3ABN website page that announces this says that all critical comments will be removed.

I guess that will not be the place to raise questions, then.

Note who or what is the source of your information. 3ABN. Is it accurate?

It seems to me that the GC may be gearing up for dealing with the present rebellion, via some sort of church discipline. If there is to be a review of the organizational status of the Columbia Union, it must be initiated by the GC Executive Committee, and it has already been announced that that committee will meet this October to consider the present situation.

But appearing with Danny who should have been disciplined a long time ago sort of sends a contrary message.

What is the question?  If the source, it is abviously a quote from the 3ABN website as noted above, but is also mentioned on another site.

Spectrumites are advising each other to watch the 3ABN panel live online right now with Mark Finley, Ted Wilson, Jim Gilley, Danny Shelton and someone else.

This is good PR for 3ABN.

Spectrumites are now quoting in an admiring fashion Danny Shelton's key question to Ted Wilson that made him (Wilson) "genuinely flummoxed, and appeared unprepared to answer".

They are also listing the amounts that ASI gives to minitries, i.e. 3ABN - 100,000, etc.

All in all, 3ABN appearing in a very good light.

Maybe Ted Wilson has never heard of the many allegations against Danny Shelton and 3ABN?  Is that possible?

Or maybe he figures that problem can wait for now...

But how will it look for him if one of the hypothetical young ladies comes out with accusations?  Or if the church somehow becomes implicated through the current litigation with Tommy Shelton?

In my personal opinon, you are on target.  Also, the litigation has ended.  TS is in prison, but, in a manner that had limited ties to 3-ABN.  The majority of the charges against 3-ABN and Danny were never formally substantiated.

Good point. The litigation hasn't ended. And Gregory, a lot of the charges against 3ABN and Danny were indeed formally substantiated. The kickback scheme via Remnant is just one example.
