Who is the "hacker"?

Good question!!  And if we can discover the answer, what should be done about it??  Hacking is a serious offense - an accusation not to be taken lightly...

I think we may have just witnessed an identity change, right here before our very eyes...  Imagine that.
...
...I do personally know Sam though, and although I find the guessing about Sam's identity hilarious and keep wondering who Sam will be identified as next week or month.. I don't recognize this poster either.

Something is wrong and weird here... and I personally find this troubling. Sam has always been consistent till now. To the best of my knowledge, there has only been one Sam up till now, and the Sam I know would not deliberately ever lie or be deceitful, and is too intelligent to undermine their own credibility and void all their earlier testimony and shared knowledge as this post obviously does. (nor would they allow another to post to do so in their name.) For what it's worth my initial thought and inclination is to think someone, somehow, has hacked Sam's account. I am going to make inquiries and find out what's going on here for myself and would advise others to do the same before forming conclusions about either Sam or polymark.

Now after inquiring, if you report back, please be so kind as to tell us something about the source of your information so that we can evaluate its credibility.

No. "Something about the source of my information" is none of Pickle's business, nor is it necessary for him to evaluate anything. It was obvious to Snoopy and others as well as myself that someone else had gained access to Sam's account and login and was posting. Even more have posted acknowledging the inconsistency of what was posted.

It is my understanding that since the accounts and login have been compromised , Sam will be re-registering here. If the new registration is not accepted by this forum's administration? Well, then Sam will just post on the other forum from now on.  (The one you all keep claiming to not read posts at, or go to.)

I may reply to the rest of Pickle's nonsense there.

Do you see any clarification in this?

SirMizer, I called you on your mischaracterization of domestic violence as being a "petty" family squabble, and you have the gall to call that nonsense? That's as absurd as Lee on BSDA suggesting that the minor being consenting somehow made a difference when it came to child molestation.

I suggest you seek counsel from your pastor, or local sheriff or police chief, and that you spend some time doing community service with an organization that specializes in helping victims of domestic violence.

Then come back here and tell us whether you still think that pointing a loaded gun at relatives is petty, and that concern about your mischaracterization thereof is nonsense.

Did someone have an idea who on this forum might have been the "hacker"?

Also, was it suggested that someone report the "hacker" to authorities and press charges?

What a great idea!

But first, Sam, can you verify for us that you were indeed hacked? We wouldn't want to get in trouble for filing a false report.

Do the authorities ever accept salmon for bail?

It seems to me that if Sam's account had really been hacked, we would have heard it from Sam instead of a third party mouthpiece.  Why can't Sam come here herself and explain that her account was hacked?  Why send Cindymyzer instead?  Sam has always been capable of speaking her mind.  Why not now?  Is she embarrassed?

Things that make you go "hhhmmm".

Folks,

Commonsense:

1. When someones email and logins are compromised, they can't login in or use them anymore as passwords can be changed, so all they can do is report it to their provider, not use them to come here, or go anywhere and say anything, even if they wanted to.

2. On most forums, if a forum admin or moderator knows that someone else is posting on a members account in violation of the rules, as is the case here (even without it being reported), they usually suspend the account immediately and ask questions later and don't sit around saying "this is so amusing..." or ""hhhmmm..." instead of doing so.

But this forum, imo, is not like most forums.  If they don't like what I say here they can edit, or ban me. Their choice, but it won't silence me- or any other, including Sam. This little forum is all they can control -- besides themselves. (If they would only choose to) Enough said? IMO, IT IS, despite the fact that Pickle and others will enter into this with "the spirit of debate" and many accusations and contentions as is their way.

I'm still having to laugh at this one!!  It was such a blatant, obvious switch!  A clear violation of forum rules, but the entertainment value far outweighs the violation, in my opinion!!  Thanks for the chuckle, Sam!!

SirMizer, you're surmising again.

Snoopy's point is a valid one. If Sam's account was hacked, Sam would be the one reporting it to the moderators, not you, regardless of whether his or her password was changed.

I would expect the moderators not to suspend an account immediately simply because some third party claimed without evidence that an account was hacked. Especially when that third party was you, an individual (a) who has publicly asserted that pointing a loaded gun at a relative is a "petty family squabble" which should not be made public, and thus that no protective order should be sought since that would make it public, and (b) who refuses to backtrack on such a ludicrous statement.

Have you spoken to a pastor or police chief or sheriff yet about this matter? Have you done any hours of community service for an organization that deals with domestic violence?

Wow!  So you are saying that Sam's email was hacked as well?  And that the hacker changed her password here so she cannot log in?  I sure didn't realize that.  I guess we need to dig a little deeper.

Here's the bottom line, Cindy. Either Sam is lying, or multiple people have been using the account. Either way, one of your little group, (I say little because it's MUCH smaller than AdventTalk), has been caught and you can't deal with it. If the account was hacked, why is the hacker not still posting? Why did the posts immediately stop after Alex exposed the lies? Your assertion that someone would take the time to hack an account to say almost the same things that have already been said is patently absurd. My advice is to pay closer attention to which lies you tell under which screen name.

And another thing, people are banned at your little forum, too. I'm living proof of that. Steffan is a punk and Lilly is just plain stupid, yet I wasn't allowed to answer their lies and slander. So get off your high horse about banning people.

I am sure glad you realize this.  We will try not to decorate ourselves with deceptive names.

Have you read the Pickle statements on Danny Shelton for President. What's interesting is that all along he has claimed that all the personal attacks against DS are warranted and just part of discovery for the law suit. Yet the big lawsuit they took all the way to the supreme court is done and over...nothing can change the fact that all along DS, 3ABN and their attorneys said that Pickle and Joy were absolutely crazy to think they could win their suit trying to get the stoppage dismissed.

Pickle should be exposed now more than ever that he is all about gossip and ugly talk.

Pickle should be exposed for being the sore loser that he is and that all of these attacks are by a sick stubborn individual who has a great amount of hatred for DS and 3ABN but tries to hide behind religious garbs!

He acts like he has destroyed DS's reputation and credibility, when IN FACT it is he who has lost all credibility by his hateful actions. AT talked about if you role a stone it will roll back on you...well guess what...Pickle and Joy have been squashed...not DS or 3abn.

They could be asked....How is it that DS and 3ABN continue to grow and that nearly 8 yrs after the divorce that people including church leadership all the way to the GC President support DS and 3ABN. In fact, none of the church people they first approached with all their lies support them now....Who's credibility has really been hurt the most?

Fact is all the judges, and courts up to the Supreme Court (how ridiculous they went that far) saw from the beginning that these 2 guys were ate up with arrogance and a vengeance that had nothing to do with legalities. Let's dwell on one important point. IF there were anything to any of their accusations wouldn't some judge at some point, through 6 years of legal battles, have seen it? Just one? They have said they have all this evidence blah blah and all they ever had was he said, she said, or should I say, he lied, she lied. They would write down what someone told them and that was their "evidence". Sorry boys. The courts never gave any of it any merit and it's over. Move on!
Oh well. Jesus was convicted in several courts of law and sentenced to death for crimes against God and Man. Joseph was convicted and sent to prison. Paul and pretty much all the apostles were convicted and sentenced to death in courts of law. The forefathers of televangelists were the popes of Rome and the Leaders of the inquisition. Enjoy, our religious S&M friends! o_O
