HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!
« on: December 31, 2010, 05:00:45 PM »

May the New Year bring you joy, peace and happiness.

Divine blessings from Iceland, the land of frost, fire, warmth and sunshine!

As the sun was setting Ida and I had our Bible study on Emotions and the Christian Life. Then we accepted a dinner invitation by two daughters and come of their families - a total of 12 people. The star of attraction was Bjarkur, a one-year old great grandson who is a constant sunshine and smiles. It was a great moment when he stopped his play and sat down next to me on the sofa. The he turned to me and gave a good bear hug. We had such a great time together, not the least when his great aunt was feeding him delicious ice cream. She acted as she was giving it to me, but then he got it. He would throw back his head and burst out in a contagious laughter - each time, allowing his great grandmother to catch some pictures for posterity.

Isn't it wonderful to be parents, grandparents & greatgrandparents. Love just keeps rolling along.  Can't hardly wait for that "Great Day" to meet the "Love" of our lifes and He who created it.

It is the duty of every cultured man or woman to read sympathetically the scriptures of the world.  If we are to respect others' religions as we would have them respect our own, a friendly study of the world's religions is a sacred duty. - Mohandas K. Gandhi
