And man said 'let us make God in our image, after our likeness.' And from the wants and desires of their hearts they did form him, and they breathed the breath of life into him, and he became a living soul.

We see what doesn't appeal to us and in our hearts we say "God does not like this." We dream of great things and say to ourselves "This is what God has ordained." For whatever it may be, there will be scripture to back us up and give divine authority to our own wants, desires and tastes. On opposite ends of the American socio/political spectrum are Pat Robertson and Michael Moore. Both are devout Christians, and both provide compelling biblical evidence for their beliefs. Both do the things that they do in the name of God. Is one right and the other wrong? Kindly people worship a kindly god, harsh people worship a harsh god, tolerant people worship a tolerant god and intolerant people worship an intolerant god, people in need worship a benevolent god, and people on conquest worship a conquering god, and each does so with equal sincerity and authenticity.

Now Johann, surely you know by now that AntiChrist will appear as one of the Bush women dressed in Michelle Obama's wardrobe. Between those two families we have seen signs and symbols... do I hear an amen... and between those two families apocalypse will come upon us, and plagues shall rain down upon the inhabitants of the earth. For it was written of old that with the black horse (Obama) would come famine, and the pale horse (Bush) would be followed by death and hell.

Although, that leaves the red horse who makes people kill each other, and the white horse who conquers...

Neither -it will come as  an apostate religion and you guys know this. and you can't help notice who leads in it. I believe in one way of the truth of the Bible and not adapting the truth to our own views as you claim everyone does and everyone is OK doing it.  Character is how you discern your environment.  It really is OK to comment the abnormal attention getters when it is in front of your eyes. Wardrobes really do tell a lot about a person. Some conservative, some gaudy, some glitzy, some sexy, some clownish, some elegant, some are exhibitionist, some from the era they are stuck in, some hippy, some street bag ladies. Then there are those that dress common, clean, neat, and refined. so much that you never notice or remember what they wear because your attention is on their character and manner and feel very comfortable with them. Guess that is why woman also look at hairdos on other women.  I often wonder what the messy spike look gives them all glued up. Oh, well just comments.

@Murcielago - I agree, dissatisfaction with Preseident Obama, does not mean support for Bush or the Republican party.  I also agree that many, many people are just tired of the status quo in Washington.  However, even more are just plain impatient.  We didnt' get into this mess over night, but many believed, even expected Pres. Obama to turn it around over night.  Some did not, and are just waiting for him to "fail", even giving an assist by just being plain childish.

Somehow I knew this would be "Obama's mess" if he didn't pull some magic out of his sleeve and solve every problem in 90 days or less.  I also knew that everything single thing he did would not be good enough.  I could tell just by the random shots he endure during the campaign(i.e., He is a muslim, but there was a HUGE mess about him being a looooong time member and friend of Rev.Wright's BAPTIST church.  Come on people, the two cannot peacefully coexist!!!!!) Those who have forgotten should just go back and listen to his Inaugural speech.  He addressed just about everything that has happened since.  But you know I could talk to I am blue in the face and it would not help, because his policies for most who oppose him is not the major reason, whether they want to admit it or not.  I have no heaven or hell to put any of you in for the horrible treatment you are inflicting on another on of God's children, because of the color of his skin.

Christian you are right on the money!

You have stated your whole problem along with others that believed in him...You listened to his beautiful speaches but the fact is you did not want to see his actions.

His actions is what brought him down. It has nothing to do with patience either as his actions in one moment and one sentence gave away his whole agenda "Spread the wealth" and he inacted everything in his path and whatever socialist he could find to surround him. and what is worse as you follow the picture-in order for him to gain the presidency he was entirely involved in the premeditation of the Acorn preparing way ahead in planning his way of making sure all the illigal votes got him in.  Black was shinning in their eyes for first time president and believe it or not this seemed to be a must for those who are still in the mode of feeling lessor in race. That feeling of lessor is what has to be overcome to stop being a racist against whiltes and whites that still make that their feeling of supreme is all going to you know where. It has to stop. Most whites as you see believed him too and voted for him. He is in but I do feel illigally, by vote and by lying.

Now, did you hear Michelle O. give her take on being the first lady when asked about her stance on being first lady?? Well right on she states It is HEll and she hates it. Now that was quite a "lady" comment! but not surprising coming from her.  That was their whole point in a nutshell. Be known for first black president. Never what was best for America. We are not socialist and the ones who voted especially you coming from a middle class did so for the same reason and the lower class voted for Obama socalist money that soon will take them down on money they can't pay for their health and taxes to the hilt to pay for it or be fined and go to jail and that goes for poor whites too. Do you realize when he says this is not going to happen that it is! it is in the Obama rules book and it is stated. I read it and so have the ones that are fighting against it. Problem is Di, you can't just make statements of your opinion-you got to go where the info is and then read it. Look at the actions and then don't self deny that hmmm, this is what he really did?? I probably might be in your shoes too but we somehow over many years got into the political mess when we never intended too. We also were deceived and no how that people will be oppressed in the end and you might as well get on the band wagon and observe yes, it is told and here we are right in the middle of timing just before Jesus comes. Obama has had plenty of time to stand for the people and he is not of that "stature" but no more then the Trojan Horse against the American way of life. He will give way the same as Bush and his father and I really liked Bush and especially Laura but the unseen things finally came out didn't they. LIke all things evil.. and racism in one that you can tell instantly by just reading on these posts. Hmmm, I bet you took the new baloney flu shot before reading what was in it.  Not me or my family!

Still, the country isn't buying that the USA needs to tax and spend it's way into prosperity, as Obama proposes.

What country has ever taxed itself into achieving prosperity?

Why can't the president propose other means of gathering revenue? Such as allowing energy companies to explore for energy sources and then charging them?

Why not build more nuclear energy facilities that would provide us a clean, safe, cheap and lasting energy source?

How about requiring welfare recipients to pass a drug screen before they can receive assistance?

Why sue the State of Arizona for attempting to enforce federal immigration policy?

All of these are ways extra revenue can be made without increasing anyone's taxes...

Actually, problem is that we see the same things, Tinka, an interpret those words and actions differently, depending on our life experiences, education, and bascially how we feel about how what was said and done.

You keep on trying to make me a "follower" because I don't come up with the same conclusions that you do.  You started out doing that, and once again I ask you to cease.  I have never, ever, claimed that you don't intelligently process any information for our consideration and discussion.  EVEN When all you do is cut and paste someone else's ariticle to prove your point. Do you realize that?  But continuously, you have to paint me as less than intelligent when I don't agree with your conclusions.  CUT IT OUT!!!  It is disrespectful to another adult who has done nothing but show respect for you.  Because I come to a different conclusion doesn't mean I have read, seen, or even given thought to the words and/or actions being considered. It just means that I see them differently than you do.  Depending on the situation, there will be a wrong and a right way, each believing their what to be the latter.

Virtually everything one sees, hears, reads, experiences, touches, or otherwise senses will be interpreted in the context of their life experience and how they have been taught to view things.

A dog wagging its tail...  :dogwag: 1 - its watching for a ball to be thrown.  2 - its waiting for the cat to come out from behind the couch so it can attack.  3 - it just got praised.  4 - it knows its about to bite a chunk out of your behind...

No matter how plain and clear something is to you, it can be just as plain and clear to the person who sees it very differently than you do. Tinka's viewpoint is biased, as is that of Princess Di, horsethief, myself, and everyone else. There is no such thing as a pure and unbiased view.

Take any critical incident and add a dozen witnesses. Get statements from EACH witness. There will be a dozen variations in those statements.  ALL are telling the truth. Each UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL sees some points from a different perspective.  :purr: :hamster:

But... they are all telling the truth... as they see it.

So true and some individual embellish certain thing and take them out of there true perspective because of life experiences or inherent biases. Some people speak from a point of more experience than others and so the weight of there answers or opinions have to be taken with more weight. But ultimately someone will be right (in most cases) and someone will be wrong even if one holds to there strong beliefs. The ultimate goal is to come to truth, an understanding, a central point as to what the facts really are. The hardest thing to do is to get someone to understand their opinions are not based on a clear evaluation of the facts. Trying to get them to look at both sides of the coin is almost near impossible because of there obvious biases and prejudices. I have come to the conclusion that only God can open the eyes of some, and for others it will simply never happen. I believe Tinka is such a person unable to see even (as we all do sometimes) our own prejudices that lead to our conclusions. Her obvious anger and hatred of the Obama's steams from more than just the fact He is the President and she is the first lady.

Murcielago,

True and your point well taken with the pictures only view of the dog waggling it's tail. I am not speaking viewing pictures but a simple english statement from Michelle O. Basically you missed the dog waiting for the cat to come out of the tree.

"It is Hell and I hate it". How many versions can one make of this? I take this to be uncouth, unlady like and unmotherly and low intelligence in the manner of speach and self disappointment after the big blast of self importance. Disgust, no respect for the office, and who cares how she feels I sure don't, she did it. a really stupid comment of carelessness, stupidity and careless on who hears me and the whole rest of her baloney. She really needs to work on her husband and his bad habits instead of trying to fix everyone elses personal life. She chose that line of public assistance because of her own needs.

and Sebastian your head is still in the mud hole is why your so dense. For your info too.  www.youtube.com/watch?v=3PvYGG22N7o
