...If Paulsen is not re-elected, the man most likely to succeed him may be Ted N. C. Wilson, a vice president and son of former GC president Neal Wilson. He received nearly as many votes in the nominating committee at the 2005 session as did Paulsen. At age 62 he is a decade younger than Paulsen, but many fear that he would be a throwback as president with a more intrusive style of leadership and possibly championing ultra-conservative causes...
Ted N. C. Wilson, a vice president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the son of a former church president, was today elected to serve as president of the 16.3-million member global Protestant denomination....
Ted Wilson, 62, has accepted the nomination to serve as president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and his nomination was confirmed late this morning by the General Conference delegates in session in Atlanta.Wilson replaces Jan Paulsen, 75, who has served as president for the past 11 years. Wilson will appear in a press conference later today, and Adventist Today will release a story with further details about his election and plans at that time.
There are some folks on internet sites and blogs already making their displeasure known about the election of Ted Wilson. We just have to trust that God was leading in the choice of Elder Wilson. Perhaps he is God's man in these last days of earth's history to keep our church doing the work it was intended to do and to uphold the core values and beliefs that have always been the foundation of our faith. Let's lift him up in prayer rather than criticize.
I agree. What do we know about him?
It is said that at the close of Ted Wilson's third day in office he ordered 7000 copies of The Great Controversy to be distributed to neighbors of the GC offices at Silver Spring

When people of the church start ordering people around I begin to wonder what is happening (smile).
A church leader in Sweden tells me they have found out Ted Wilson will participate in a gathering in Sweden in January without the knowledge of the local Division President. Looks like we may have elected a "great" leader who knows how to make the "right" decisions. A man af action who knows in which direction he is going! Why take into consideration the whims of others who might disagree?
