Why do we have an obligation towards those who are younger?

It guides the younger through paths of experience and wisdom. Many do not have a way to know God other then training. Someone has to do the training to know the Holy Spirit, the Father and His Son so they too can teach the next gererations. The obligation is becaused one is blessed to have the wisdom of "how to obtain eternity and repay God's love for all we have, been and will be! It's a giving thing that all is created for. and mostly to give back to the one who gave all and created all. He gave the most wonderful gifts to make man happy,  I think mostly I want to hear Jesus laugh and sing too. I really want to hear that.  We have made his heartbreak and sad. Guess, I cannot think about this anymore.

Holiness comes from Wholeness and not "Moderations" "completed work in one" of which completetion of life ends with "saved" and "home". (smile) Just a hop skip and jump to Eternity.  Yes, we have obligaton as our children were "exchange gifts" from and for love of our Creator.

The most important example is Christ.   Secondly, and a far distant, to the first, is to live the life before them.  Young people can tell very well who is faking it.  They know integrity and honesty when they see it, and notice when it is missing.   They will more than likely notice this qualities before noticing the outward appearance, and they know that the outward appearance has too many times been window dressing for some very dark and sinful lives.  Just answer their question and queries honestly, and from the manifest Word of God on your own life......IOW, be a witness, about the things "you" know about God and what He has done for you.

I have referred elsewhere to the Hebrew concept that our religion is a part of ourselves while the Greek concept claims that how we are in daily life, at work or in school, has nothing to do with our spirituality. What do you feel is the teaching of Jeus Christ?

Unfortunately for us, I believe we have conducted ourselves as the Greeks, not connecting our everyday lives with our spiritual ives.  In essence, making a marked distinction between the religious/spiritual and the secular.

However, because the Bible does state "Whatever we do, do all to the glory of God, the Greeks concept, and the one we have errantly aopted, is in complete contrast to the Bible.  There shouold be no separation. People ought to know you are christian even at a sporting event or any social activity that is outside of the church, at work, in your neighborhood. ALL of our life should be a witness to the manifest presence of the Most High God in our lives, to a daily loving relationship with Jesusu Christ.
