If they opt to acquiesce to the demand, does that mean that other victims will come forward and begin demanding something also?
In the past history that has been the case especially in cases that involved that Catholic church. So, I hesitate to say no.
I will say this, without fear, of repercussion's. I have seen it posted elsewhere "why aren't the victims going after the church in Virginia?" Even if the two victims wanted to do so, they could not because of the statue of limitation (as far as civilly prosecuting) in the state of Virginia.
I would agree that the church in Virginia including Pastors Byron and Gail Woods should be held accountable for allowing Tommy to pastor there. They were in fact knowledgeable of the past of Tommy, yet allowed him to serve. It is unfortunate that this may not occur.
