I think your saying the IRS example was non responsive and unrelated is downright rude. It was neither non responsive nor unrelated.

You are entitled to your opinion, it doesn't affect mine, Bob...

And talking about dancing around for days, could you please get your facts straight? This discussion started on Friday, and I cited the specific rule, since you apparently were having trouble finding it, on Saturday night. How is that days?

I am very sorry. Take 2:

Thank you for finally answering. After posting on Friday, February 20, 2009, at 01:49:26 PM EST and then watching you dance around for 30 hrs, 53 min and 3 seconds in 2 different threads and in multiple posts, all in reply to mine, it's very refreshing and appreciated to finally get a straight answer to at least one of my questions on Saturday, February 21, at 08:42:29 PM EST.

The bottom line is that you spread the false rumor that we had missed our deadline, because you either didn't read the rules or didn't understand what you read. And I personally do not appreciate your spreading falsehoods about our case.

The bottom line for me is you are as quick to cause offense as you are to take it and your reading comprehension, interpretation and reporting skills are lacking as usual...

Allow me to quote from the thread....

Quote
Me: "Despite the court documents filed, and the posts and claims made by both Gailon Joy and Bob Pickle regarding all of this, the deadline for their appeal brief has come and gone and neither of them has filed one according to the court."

Question to me:
"So you're saying that Pickle/Joy missed their appeal deadline? Wasn't this the one they had asked for additional time to file on?"

Me:
"It certainly looks like they did, but I don't know for sure if they missed it as Pickle keeps hinting about some rule. If they didn't then they certainly waited till the very last moment to file their brief, and yes on Jan 5th they filed a motion asking for more time to file. The original due date was Jan 19th.

..he started a new thread announcing that the appellant brief had been filed on Wednesday,(which was the due date) about a minute before I did. Since then he seems to be hinting in his other posts that he actually mailed it on Wednesday.

Mailed and filed are 2 different things to most people, and I keep trying but asking for a straight answer or explanation from Pickle always seems to be a futile exercise, so who knows...."

...
me:
I have no idea what Pickle means or which rules he is referring to when he keeps saying: "Read the rules, and you'll understand. It makes total sense."

huh? :? To me this is rather like asking someone specific questions related to a doctrine, and having them keep answering with the same thing: " read the bible and you'll understand, it makes total sense"

There are a lot of rules concerning filing briefs in an appeal case...

IMO, since you were already taking the time to reply to my posts, it would have been much easier and less time consuming if you had simply answered my questions in a straight forward manner at that time, instead of all the dancing around.

toodles...

It isn't my opinion that my illustration regarding filing a tax return was related and responsive. It's a fact. Putting the tax return in the mail is considered filing it, and the situation is essentially the same regarding filing a brief during an appeal.

You spread false rumors on your site rather than first having gotten the facts. An apology is in order.

Telling you that you needed to read the rules wasn't dancing around. It was answering your question.

Understand you, some don't. Watch Star Wars, some here have not. Like reading Shakespeare, it may be. The most powerful in the dark side of the force, trained Jedi are. Paduan on both sides there are. Large, the forces of the Emperor are and but a small part of the armada, the Death Star is. Beware the embrace of the dark side.

I for one am pleased to see that post removed......I don't appreciate references to such things as Star Wars characters, since I look at that whole movie series to be of the devil and a total disregard for what we as Seventh Day Adventist Christians, are suppose to be all about.......I really don't want to read statements put in the form of some Dark Side creature in this Adventist forum.......we are following the unchristian actions of some who are suppose to be spreading the last days message, as they continue to torment and aggravate good Christian Men who are only trying to reveal sin in the camp of a Christian broadcast station.........I do appreciate most here and the attempts as they continue to bring to light the undercover sin going on......................Thank you Bob and Snoopy and Fran for your continued updates to us......................... :TY:

Thank you for that, judibug.  I was a bit uncomfortable with the repeated references to Star Wars as well, and they were only getting worse.  There is no room in my life for science fiction - I hate it and refuse to watch any of it.  You have confirmed my discomfort.

I am so well informed that I did not even recognise the origin of the language....I am totally bored by the whole Star Wars
scenario but I realise there really is a darker side to that kind of fiction.

I called the clerk's office in the Massachusetts 1st circuit court of appeals this morning because the deadline for Pickle and Joy filing their brief in their appeal case regarding the dismissal of the lawsuit against them has come and gone, and there has been nothing new added on PACER. They already asked for and were granted an extension for filing.

I was told that neither Pickle or Joy have bothered to file anything, even though the deadline for doing so was 02/18/09

I posted about this on the other forum, but I am not allowed to give a link to that here as it is against the rules of this forum. ( my apologies)

On the off chance that the name of the thread from the other forum will be allowed here without censorship, it is
"Lawsuit update -- No appeal brief filed by Pickle or Joy"

More will be being posted. Discussion there, as well as explanations and answers are welcomed.

..ian

Well Cindy, it looks like they "bothered to file" after all, huh?  I guess you were wrong...

I believe that no comments should be made about things we don't understand or are not sure.   Star Wars is not evil or demonic in any way. In fact, news flash, it is exactly the opposite.  If you care to see, it is about as obvious as the Chronicles of Narnia series.  It is, at it's base and great struggle between good and evil......The Force = God, the Dark Side = Satan....see...simple.

That said, I can, however, understand, if you are not into scifi and simply did not get the references, I believe it was a bit inappropriate to use them also, and I absolutely love the series.  However, we are in a public(genrally SDA) forum where all are not familiar with it(even quite afraid of it), and it does little to convey one's thoughts effectively.

Sorry for waundering off topic for a bit, I just hate to see us misinformed and ignorant of facts.  It severely limits our credibility when we are witnessing to others.

The Force was not a personal God but was an impersonal power that could be manipulated and used at will for good or for evil by the initiated.

That kind of picture is more in harmony with the occult than with biblical Christianity.

It is to be expected that error should have some similarities to truth. But it is the differences that we should note.

I really do have an answer for you, Bob, but I am not a patient enough teacher remedial situations.  I do much better is SS in a class of folks who have studied and have at least some comprehension of the subject at hand.  Sooooooo, as i said....we will leave this alone.......cuz folks is just posting in fear........which is definitely not from God.  this chapter of Star Wars is now closed.

I have not read much of Narnia - I greatly enjoy and appreciate CS Lewis many other works, but most of the allegorical and his idea of Northerness or whatever he called it,
do not touch any chords in me.  That is just a statement, not a criticism, and not a comment on those who enjoy such work. ( I think the concepts he brought out in The Great Divorce are brilliant.)

I have read some of the sci-fi of a generation ago - Arthur C Clarke, John Wyndam - and enjoyed it.   I am not sure how much similarity there is between then and now.

So Di - I can take your comments on board - and leave you to enjoy Star Wars -  without me  ;D

All 100 pounds and 9800+ pages worth.

Wow. That gives a whole new meaning to the word "brief". lol

 Seriously I look forward to reading it. Of course it would be easier if you just posted it, and shared it with me and everyone else as you did with Snoopy..  But as you don't appear to want to do that, I'll have to order it from the court and share it with everyone who is interested myself. I'm  certainly glad I don't have to pay for every copy and page you sent...

Have a good day, Bob :)

As I am sitting here watching the day dawn in the eastern sky, I have cause to comtemplate whether Ian will really read that master-peice casually referred to as a brief?

I wonder if IAN will ever get to a point where IAN and her ILK realizes just how abusive and fraudulent the Danny Lee Shelton administration of 3ABN proved to be and just how much he personally enriched himself by the abuse of his position;

Or just what a profound lie it is that he had any basis, biblical or otherwise, to dump the old grey mare and take up with a young filly;

Or just how vicious it is for the 3ABN Board of directors to continue to conduct their filthy effort to discredit Linda Sue Shelton when the evidence is so clear that their own MENTOR, Danny Lee Shelton lacks credibility and snookered them into participating in one of the largest frauds in the history of the Seventh-day Adventist Church;

Or what a hypocricy it is to pretend that you are the "Three Angels" message personified when you are hateful, deceitful and unforgiving in the most decisive way.

Perhaps on day the Day will dawn, even for IAN!!! Let us hope it is before the Second Coming.

Enjoy reading the brief while we wait for the spin control from the miscreants of SDA televangelism gone awry!!!!

Er...uh...Gailon... did you really mean to refer to Linda as bolded below, OR are you saying that was Danny's state of mind?

Or just what a profound lie it is that he had any basis, biblical or otherwise, to dump the old grey mare and take up with a young filly;

I can't wait to read this "brief"!  Where can I get a copy?  If it isn't going to be posted, would someone please send me a copy with all the exhibits?

Good to see you post Gailon.  You have been quiet for a while.
