Let's see. When does one have to file one's tax return? What do you have to do on that date in order to file?
Umm, I don't know. Drop it in the US mail?
Umm, So, Bob... is that what all the cryptic comments are about? you dropped the brief in the mail on the due date, and are claiming that like your income tax return the postmark makes it on time?
You keep referring me to the rules, but where is that rule exactly?
And even if so, knowing the court doesn't have it yet, why would you post
"Appellant brief filed", and claim "It was a lot of work, but we got it done and
filed on Wednesday." instead of just honestly and plainly saying that it was mailed on Wednesday?
Also Bob...
Will the court also be receiving a request via mail asking for permission to file untimely?
Yes _____ ~OR~ No _____
Doesn't that need to be done and permission granted before your brief will be considered filed?
Yes _____ ~OR~ No _____
Thank you.
