Danny Shelton's legal expenses
« on: November 23, 2008, 01:25:51 PM »

I just came across this email which I have posted here exactly as I received it minus the name/email of the questioner.  It looks to me as though Walt Thompson is saying that Danny Shelton's legal expenses related to the lawsuit brought by "Three Angels Broadcasting Network, Inc. an Illinois non-profit corporation and Danny Lee Shelton, individually" are being paid by 3ABN and that he, Dr. Thompson, doesn't see a problem with that.

What do you all think?

Dear **********,

I do not know the answer to your question. I understand that it is all the same suit, and handled as such. To my knowledge, there has been no talk of a separate fund for Danny's defense.

Dear Walt Thompson,

If you could answer another question : If Danny is named in the suit as president, why does it not name him as president? Why does it name him "individually"? I am trying to follow your reasoning and cannot figure this one out. I assumed that there would be a need for two different funds to cover the law suit since it looks Danny is named as an individual. You might want to check on that before you tell anyone else there is no need for a separate fund raising.

Dear Walt Thompson,

Thank you for your time in answering my questions. I am glad that the donations for the law suit will be tax deductible. Will the donations for Danny Shelton also be deductible? Are there two different funds set up?

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend.

Dear ***************,

When 3abn first began broadcasting many years ago, we were told by the General Conference that we could not claim to be affiliated with the Church. As I understand it, this was primarily to protect the church from taking responsibility for 3abn if anything should go wrong. 3abn is not owned by the SDA church and is not financed by the SDA Church - or any other. Yet, 3abn teaches and preaches the judgment hour message of the Three Angels along with the Church. We are a supporting ministry of the Church. We are not a church, and we are not a denomination. We are a private, 501c3 corporation preparing the world for the return of our Lord.

For further information regarding the impoundment, you will need to contact our attorneys. All I know is that we were concerned that the suit be given opportunity to be tried in the court, not on the Internet.

I have no further comments regarding Tommy. I fail to understand how giving Tommy employment may have endangered other victims any more than refusing him employment.

As far as I know, contributions for legal defense are tax deductible by a 501c3 corporation.

I trust this is helpful to you ********. Because we are in ligigation, I am limited in what I may say.

God bless you and yours,

Maybe somebody should remind Walt that DANNY AND 3ABN brought the lawsuit!!  That makes DANNY a "plaintiff" so he has no need for a "defense"!  Yet.

I also agree with the questioner.  Danny Shelton, individually, was clearly named as a plaintiff.  Not Danny Shelton, President of 3ABN.  Absent any further explanation, that would make Danny Shelton, the individual, responsible for half of the costs associated with the litigation.  If 3ABN paid for the whole thing, I would expect to see half of the amount added to Danny Shelton's W-2 or 1099 as taxable income.

However, it might be interesting to get the Illinois Attorney General's opinion on the matter as well!

I wonder if they borrowed again from the Trust Funds?  They are experienced in this type of funding, you know.  Jim Gilley promised they would stop, but have they?   Jim doesn't seem to hold much influence at 3ABN now days.  In fact I am seeing a lot more of the Supreme Danny and his blood relatives.  More of them and less of others is how it seems to go!   I thought it was supposed to be more of others and less of me?  ???

Hey, they are having a family singing show again.  I will have to watch that for sure.  That means that Tommy will be there.  Tammy will be there.  I wonder if ----- will be there.  He is ------'s son by her second cousin.  In fact, the alleged 17 year old basketball player Danny was said to be messing with was a something cousin too.  They sort of believe in family sex, I guess.  Tommy alledgely messed with his own ---.  This must be acceptable behaviour for all the Shelton's.  I wonder if ------'s lover, during her 1st and 2nd marriage, will be there to sing with her.

Maybe I should watch and see if Kenny will be there with his second wife.  Yeah, he was an adulterer too.  Poor Ron just didn't have a chance, he is divorced too.  They just don't seem to believe in long term Godly relationships as taught in the Bible, huh?   :dunno:

Tommy alledgely messed with his son.

One source told me that Tommy's wife Carol had told him/her that Tommy had done that.

There are certain things that are inappropriate for public discussion and there are innocent people being hurt by this. I protest. People are being named and dragged through the mud without regard for their lives and the lives those around them. These are not principals in financial or management issues at 3ABN, they are just little people on the side whose personal lives have no place in public discussion. They don't deserve this! Leave them alone!

Habanero makes an  important point which we do well by following. Some of us may have to apologize for making inappropriate alegations.

Habanero;

I apologize for naming names, that was wrong on my part!

I should have only discussed in generalities the effects of incest without naming names.

Every one, please forgive my inappropriate outburst of disgust at the actions of those that are considered to be very much a integral part of 3ABN.

There are innocent parties I am sure.  I apologize to the children that are not publicly involved at this time.

Incest is handed down from generation to generation.  It is learned at very young ages.  There are those that are pushing to say that incest with adults and children is consensual sex and not incest.  They say they feel that children are able to make choices at very young ages before they even understand what sex is.

I adopted several Eskimo children from one mother.  They came to me at very young ages.  The youngest was 5.  Her birth mother was aging and was no longer a desirable of the local males.  Therefore, she bartered with her baby that became my daughter.  She agreed they could have sex with the baby if they had sex with her first.  My baby can remember having as many as 5 men pass her around.  Remember, I got her at age 5!  My son was raped by the males and females!  He became sexually active with female babies at the young age of 4  Then there was the 12 year old female that came from the same family.  The principal would call every day saying she was propositioning all the males at school.  She was mentally deficient and to her sex was just like home made apple pie!

Today, I have my 5 year old's son!  I have had him since 1998.  She has severe Fetal Alcohol Syndrome as do her siblings.  She was fine until she took her 1st drink.  She was a goner.   She is beautiful.  Daryl has met her and has helped me through some very bad times with her.  She has my phone number tattooed on her feet so we will be notified if she is killed or passes on.  She went from drinking to cocaine and heroin.  Then to crack and crank.  She prostitutes herself to get money for drugs.  This is her life!

Maybe now some will understand my anger and disgust toward adults that have no regard for their children by acting out sexually.  Children are not dumb by any means.  I love my daughter to death!  We talk about every two weeks.  She has always been painfully honest with me about her activities.  We put her in rehab and under the care of a psychiatrist.  This has been her life also.   When she was 21 she was no longer on our insurance.   We had to send her to live with her brother and get medical care in Canada.

Since I named names of Shelton's, I am telling of my children and the hell in which they live to this day!  They were innocent in the beginning.

In my opinion, the Shelton family is very much a vital part of 3ABN.  Danny has made that so.  However, that did not give me the right to expose names.  Please forgive me.

Daryl;

I have not forgotten your kindness to Martha and me.  You have always been dear to my heart, and always will be.

I am still overwhelmed at your open kindness to Martha.  She asks about you still.  I will tell her you are still praying for her.  That will encourage her, as it has me, just to know that someone should care about her.

It is my hope that you will again be comfortable in posting here too.  We can never please everyone in life.  It is best to forgive and just keep on keeping on.  I have missed you.  Hopefully there will be the occasion to agree to disagree and go on in Christ.  Please come back for many of us who care and understand differences of opinions.

Fran,

Sometimes it can take years to see answers to this type of prayer....when we are hurting for our children, and the answers seem delayed, our faith can
be stretched.  We can adopt children for the best motives, and see them hurting, and seem powerless to help.   I pray you will see God's hand at work in the lives of your family, Fran.

Fran, that is quite a story.  I too was adopted, and I thank God every day for the family He gave me.  You have a great deal to be proud of.  And God knows the hearts of your children.  He is still in control.  I edited out the references I think Habanero was taking exception to in the post where he replied to you.  Of course, he is welcome to edit it further if he so chooses.
