Resignation of Four at La Sierra University

Submitted Jun 14, 2011

Special Report: General Conference and Adventist Today In Possession of La Sierra University Recording

Ervin Taylor

The General Conference of SDAs has received a copy of a recording of a presentation by General Conference and Union Conference officials to members of the LSU Faculty. Following that presentation, the conversation of four individuals, three of whom have resigned from their LSU administrative and faculty positions and the fourth, who resigned from the LSU Board of Trustees, was also recorded.  Adventist Today has received what appears to be an accurate copy of that entire recording which is in the hands of General Conference officials. We understand that there are other copies in existence.

Adventist Today is currently having that recording transcribed into text to be able to evaluate in detail the statements of the GC and Union Conference officials and former LSU administrators, faculty, and board member to determine the substance of what could have required their resignations.

As soon as the transcription of the text is completed, Adventist Today will make a determination of how to report on the GC and Union conference officials’ statements.

Does anyone have any comments on this situation?

I found it odd that Gary Bradley would state that he had drunk a "little" glass of an alcoholic beverage. Why would he call it "little"?

Maybe his wine glass was a small one.

Do people drink wine in little glasses?

Or was this something harder, something drunk in little glasses?

Or was Bradley minimalizing somewhat what he had done by calling it "little"?

Or was he thinking of 1 Timothy 5:23? Some use that as an excuse.

Some times medicine is mixed with alcohol to be taken by teaspoons. Is that safer than a small glass?

Ok so, I still can't find where the man talked about drinking the alcohol.  Yes, Bob, there are small wine glasses.  Ok so what is this rumored to be about?  I will have to and see what the problem is....well, it isn't that important I will wait until later.

Educatetruth.com has posted audio clips of the "after party" at the house of Jim Beach, LSU dean of the College of Arts and Sciences.

Dan Jackson, president of the NAD is quoted as saying:

Quote
This is what Jackson actually said:

00:36:25 When I read the letter from David Asscherick, I said, that young man ought be in the conference president’s office getting a beating.

(But this happened before the "after party", I think.)

I don't blame you for being "ashamed" and I agree that FULL transparency should prevail in all the churches dealings.

Every Seventh-day Adventist Church, Educational and Medical Administrator and every Seventh-Day Adventist Officer or Director should be proud to stand solid as the rock of Gibraltar for the Seventh-day Adventist Fundamental Beliefs and should publicly demand and EXPECT that every employee or member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and it's institutions strictly adhere to the Fundamental Beliefs of the Seventh-day Adventist Faith.

There is no room for "Allegory Theology" in the church given the "Flame of Truth" to take to the entire world at such an important moment in World History. There is only room for those whom adhere to "The Truth. The Whole Truth and Nothing But The Truth" in this most important age. We will be a part of the World's Greatest Generation and our Faith must not waver from it's foundations that have brought to this great period.

Don't believe the Fundamentals of Faith??? "Get your own church"!!!
