Seventh-day Adventists Mentioned on "House" Last Night
« on: March 17, 2009, 05:25:41 AM »

Did anyone else catch the reference to our denomination on the March 16th telecast of "House, MD" last night?
Dr. House made an earlier reference to "a pastor in 1844 who predicted Jesus' return" and how it didn't occur, etc. Later in the episode, the lead-character/patient said how the Seventh-day Adventist church sprang up out of that group of believers. I believe she characterized us as a "major (or maybe she just said "large" or "growing": I'll have to check my video tape) Christian denomination."

A nice acknowledgment!

I saw it too and thought it was great! I watch that show regularly and I have noticed many references (positive I would say) to God and belief, etc, you probably have noticed too.
Good show. Never miss it.
