Tommy Shelton's release date
« on: June 03, 2013, 03:55:37 PM »

Go to http://www.vadoc.virginia.gov/offenders/locator/ and search for either 1431823 or Tommy Shelton, and you'll find that his release date is March 13, 2017.

If I recall correctly, he was sentenced last year for 6 years, and that he had to serve at least 85% of his sentence. So he has to serve at least 5.1 years. http://www.wjla.com/articles/2012/02/tommy-shelton-jr-former-pastor-sentenced-for-child-molestation-73034.html says that he was sentenced on Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, and I would imagine that his jail time started before that.

So he must be behaving himself, and must be able to get out 15% early.

No wonder he pled the 5th so much during his deposition last year. He wouldn't want to stay in there any longer than absolutely necessary, and thus doesn't want any new convictions coming his way.

If only his countless victims had an early release date from all the hell we go though. Or a release date period, for that matter.

Ah well, even if we did, Glenn Dryden would be there to try to stop it from happening anyway.
