Worst Crime Ever?
« on: April 19, 2012, 10:20:21 AM »

On July 22, 2011, a young Norwegian, Anders Breivik, murdered 77 children and adults in one day. The criminal case against him started last Monday and is expected to continue next week. It so happens that we can watch the TV covering of the case direct from Norway.

Today Anders Breivik had to give his reasons for committing this crime. Things were covered in such details that reporters claimed today was the worst day ever in the history of criminal court cases in Norway. And yet they predict tomorrow will be still worse as the murderer will be questioned in details on each of the murder cases.

At a press conference at the end of the day today his main defense lawyer stated that we have to recognize that this man's way of thinking is so different from that of any other person present.

Why is he different? He is a very conservative Bible believing Christian who is only fighting for his Christian ideals. Because the present Norwegian government is lowering the standards by permitting Muslims free access to this Christian country, and have not listened to any arguments why Muslims should not be allowed to infiltrate his Christian nation, he feels that war is inevitable, and that he is called to fight that war. His main aim was to kill all the members of the government, and since he did not manage to behead the former prime minister with his bayonet and knife, he had to shoot and kill all of the children and young people attending a political youth rally on an island near our Seventh-day Adventist Academy, Tyrifjord. Fortunately some escaped.

In court Anders states he does not regret his actions, and that he would do it again. He states he was certain he would not survive himself but would be killed by police bullets. He claims he'd rather die now that face a life in prison.

For a whole year he played computer games to prepare himself for the shooting and killing. He also trained well to have the physical strength to carry his arsenal. On the first day a recording was played of a cell phone call from a young girl calling police after her boy friend had been shot and killed and you heard bullets explode as her friends were dying in the vicinity.

Today was the worst day ever in a Norwegian court. Tomorrow will be worse.

It sounds like Anders believes God has forgiven him because he was doing the right thing, fighting for His Church.

Anders Breivik killed off 77 people because they did not seem to share his conservative Christian views.

If someone threatened to kill you because you do not share his views on the question of ordination, would you just let him shoot you?

Horrible. Politics and religion are the two most blood-drenched institutions in human history. They are capable of raising something in the human mind that supersedes rational thought and behaviour in relation to others, and drives people to unthinkable actions and hatreds. When a person, group, theology, idea, thought, or any other factor is perceived to threaten identity, moral boundaries are thrown off and don't seem to be retrievable. Watch the interviews conducted with former staff at the Nazi, Japanese, and Khmer Rouge concentration camps and they sound very much like Breivik, as did those with the followers of Koresh, Jones, Heaven's Gate, Aum Shinrikyo, The Ugandan 10 Commandments movement, etc.

Today was even worse where the criminal freely described how he murdered 77 victims, going into dreadful details. Different people will evaluate his testimony according to their own bias.

Not everybody would notice that he quoted Scripture to justify some of his actions.

Not everybody would notice how his membership in an all male club could have influenced his way of thinking and interpretation . . .

A witness had heard him say before he cold-blooded killed one of his victims: "You are just a Democrat and therefore you must die." All of his 77 victims were supposedly ungodly Democrats.

On Monday Anders Breivik will continue defending his supreme Christian ideology which made him kill 77 people. The families of his victims all over Norway are able to follow the procedures in 17 different courthouses throughout the country. Many of them wept today, and some of them left and were not able to listen to any more of his testimony.

Many visitors left flowers outside the court houses today to show their sympathy with the victims.
